Morningside Heights Community Fund

We established the Morningside Heights Community Fund (MHCF) through agreements with local institutions and real estate developers active in our neighborhood.

MHCC has worked diligently to ensure that entities profiting significantly from luxury real estate development on our blocks give back to the community.

To date, MHCF has conducted five rounds of funding and provided $425,000 to 34 local groups. Here is a brief overview of the program and roster of grantees.

MHCF funds are managed through the New York Community Trust and granted to nonprofit organizations in and around our neighborhood that provide essential services to neighbors in need or enrich our shared community life.
