J.D. Salinger’s fictional Glass family lived in Morningside Heights, frequenting many shops and locales in the neighborhood. Salinger spent part of his childhood at 390 West 111th Street.

MHCC has documented many aspects of life in Morningside Heights and our efforts to maintain and improve it.
